Two days ago, Saladina gave me a scare by finding the kitchen door to the garage open and Saladina walking out through it. I caught her quickly and closed the door. I just assumed "Oh, somebody left the door open, and she found it."
Today, I have just witnessed the incredible. She went to the door, she stood up on a box that sits next to the door. From the box she stands up in her hind legs, and starts with her paws to twist the doorknob until the door opened and she was about to come out through the door!
At that point I come running and close the door, and put the lock to it. And just sit..... sit, staring at Saladina, and ask her if she's sure she ain't the next step in feline evolution.
I am still having a hard time believing she managed to learn how to use a doorknob..... It just makes me laugh so hard.
I am starting to think soon enough we will have to put a lock in the upper part of the door. What makes me laugh so much, is that that was what my parents had to do when I was a 2 year old and learned to open the door and started trying to get out just like Saladina.
