From the previously posted article,

Traditional dosing for therapeutic treatment of diarrhea in adult cats as provided by U.C. Davis is one-half of a 250mg capsule (5 billion CFU) given twice daily.

Since you cannot measure CFU's on the scale, if you wanted this dose, you would measure half your 5 billion CFU capsule, or 250 mg by weight.

Looking at that, I guess Betty takes half the maintenance dose. This seems to be a good amount for her. If you wanted to start at Betty's dose, then you would divide your capsule four ways or 125 mg, twice a day.
