Hi,
I just wondered if there were any Russian Blue breeders out there who could help me.
I purchased a purebred Russian from a registered breeder in June of last year. My kitten, Alexander, was born in April. I have papers for him, and I sighted his parents and their bloodlines. Everything seemed fine. He has all of the characteristics of a Russian Blue (ears, foot pads, coat, etc).
However, he has since developed orange/brown eyes instead of green.
My question is whether, being less than a year old, there is still a chance he will develop green eyes, or whether he will have orange/brown forever (in which case, I won't be able to show him). Is this a common fault, or should I be concerned? Could it be a health issue?
I have contacted the breeder I bought him from, but I suspect she is having a child (she was due around now) and hasn't checked her emails.
Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated!
