Royal Canin pet food recall.

Please check if you are feeding Royal Canin. I just found this posted on another site.

I didn't find anything at the Royal Canin site, but it sounds like it may only be foods distributed at the vets office.

Has anyone else heard about this?

Yes, it was only two types of the Veterinary diets, I think calorie control and the urinary S/O were effected. There were no serious problems- nothing that would cause immediate illness or death. They just found that some of the minerals were not balanced appropriately. This may have caused problems when the diets were fed long term. At our clinic we contacted anyone that had been feeding these diets and had hem return the food. Royal Canin has fixed the problem and was replacing any returned food.
