I had my 3 five month old kittens "fixed" yesterday, 10-30-01. They seem to be doing fine but I'm wondering about one thing they have started doing; rolling in the dirt. Is this common? They are outside cats, visit occasionally in the house, but prefer outside and garage. They rolled some last evening when I brought them home from Vet and today they are keeping right down dirty, dirt and grass just all over them. Anyone have any comments on this? They want to be petted and stroked but not to be held, I can see they are tender still.

Just my thoughts...perhaps they are trying to get the smell from the Vet's office off of themselves?

Congratulatons too on getting all three 'fixed' at the same time! That is quite a chore to do!!

They will probably want to picked up as soon as they are not so sore from the surgery.

Hey, my cat does the same thing. I think they are just taking a good ol' dirt bath. It removes sent and soakes up extra oil in the coat.
