Rodent ulcer? (Pic included)

Hi there - my kitty is almost three years old, indoor cat, no change in food, the only this is we went on a week long vacation and had a friend come by while we were gone so I know Bourbon was stressed. We came home three days ago and he Still has this red lip and it looks like sores. Couldn't get a better pic. Any help? I c alled the vet and cant get him in TIL Monday (two days from now). Help!!!

It is probably chin acne. They will give antibiotics. You should not use plastic food bowls as they harbor bacteria. Use porcelin only and change out and wash every time. Or you can use paper plates and throw away each time. Cats also need wide shallow plates not deep.

It could very well be a rodent ulcer - our last cat was prone to them, particularly in times of stress, and he got the same type of bump on his lip. While he'll need to see a vet, it's not an emergency - Monday is fine. :vibes::vibes::vibes: that it clears up soon.
