Roan or fever coat?

As the title says... what's going on with this guys ever increasing amount of white hair?

I thought fever coats didn't include the legs/tail/face? His white hairs started sprouting on the face and feet first.

I've had him since he was 12 hours old and he hasn't had a fever, though he was exposed to herpesvirus (his sister has ocular herpes), but he's never shown symptoms.

Oh wow !! I would say you have got a kitten with a VERY unusual coat colour there. :nod:

Just an update.... must have been a fever coat as he is jet black now!
