One of our cats is being treated for ringworm on her neck. The area appears to be getting smaller but the cream the vet gave us is almost gone. I was wondering if we could a product for human use, like Tinactin, instead of going back to the vet and getting more of the other stuff?

I guess you could but check with your vet first to make sure it's ok. Plus it's always good for the veterinarian to know what meds your kitty is on.

You can, but It does not work as well as prescriptions. Even with human cases of ringworm, it's best to use the prescription. You also want to have the vet check to see how active it still is. Ringworm can be very frustrating and it's best to keep the vet involved. Also, it's never a good idea to use over the counter medications on cats unless your vet tells you what and the dose. Cat's especially can be poisoned by OTC meds.

O.K. Thanks for the advice. I was trying to avoid another trip to the vet but I suppose I should give them a call in the near future.
