Was the cabin in the woods?

Did a bear attack him?

Did he escape from the bear?

Did he go into the cabin himself to protect himself from the bear?

Did he sit down on the chair himself?

Was it then that he bleed to death?

Ta Da!
(Hopefully, this riddle is solved now, we'll see!)

A man is found dead in a cabin. How did he die?
The clues so far:
1. he was alone, no signs of intruders
2. there was blood and it was his blood
3. he was slumped in a chair in the cabin
4. cabin was locked (although this was a difficult "yes" answer)
5. he was not murdered, not shot
6. he didn't want to die, so it was not suicide, no slashed wrists
7. he was not old

Then you gave a clue that we should ask questions about the surroundings.
Okay,

Was there an overhead fan?
Was he seated beside a table having a meal?
Did the overhead fan fall on him and behead him?

OK, I'm going to answer all the questions in this one post. Not in order, either. Some of you make me laugh so hard. Beheaded by a ceiling fan?!?! You're insane!!

Did an object fall onto his head? Not exactly, no.

Did his blood found on the scene come from a wound? Yes, the blood was from his wounds.

Was there a wound on his body? Yes.

Was there blood in the wound? Yes.

Did he actually die? Also yes.

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? The answer is the city that contains the original "Mona Lisa".

Was the cabin in the woods? For literary effect, I'll say yes.

Did a bear attack him? No.

Did he escape from the bear? Therefore, also no.

Did he go into the cabin himself to protect himself from the bear? Also, also no!!

Did he sit down on the chair himself? Yes.

Was it then that he bleed to death? Um, if you mean did he bleed or get his wounds sometime after he sat in the chair, yes. Now, someone has solved the riddle, essentially (keep reading) but unfortunately, your bear hypothesis wasn't the right one!!

Was he a human being? Yes.

Was there an overhead fan? No.

Was he seated beside a table having a meal? No.

Did the overhead fan fall on him and behead him? LOL!

Now, kudos go to the savy individual who pondered the nature of the "cabin".

Or is the cabin on a ship? No . . . .

Was the cabin an airplane cabin? Yes, it most definately is an airplane cabin. Bravo!!! So, just for kicks, somebody spell it out. How did this man die?

Sure, I can post another riddle! However, do you think I should post it in this thread or start another thread called Riddle #2?

Another thread: Riddle 2.

Then, after each Riddle is solved, start another thread, so it's easier to keep up with:
Riddle 3
Riddle 4
Riddle 5...

Honestly, I picked them up at church camps when I was a teenager. I learned a lot of great card games there, too! That's what happens when you get a bunch of people together and forbid them to have electronics of any kind!!
You're forced to actually come up with things to do that involve eye contact and speaking to each other!

Yes. As yayi said, the plane crashed, he was the pilot. He had his seat belt on and was thus bound to the chair.
