We brought in a new kitten this weekend. She's about 12 weeks old. I put Frontline Plus on her when I was doing the other 2 kitties, and then yesterday I discovered the coffee-ground stuff in her ears. I'm treating the ear mites with Otomite, but I'm concerned about it transferring to my other kitties and my dog. I've heard that Revolution is effective against ear mites, but since I just applied the Frontline to the whole group I don't want to overdose them on insecticides.
Also, my understanding is that Revolution is not effective against ticks (which are a bigger problem in my area than fleas, in my experience). Is this true?
What should I do? Just continue and keep an eye out for mites on the other animals? Use Revolution next month? And in that case, what should I use for the ticks? (I will be talking to my vet about all this, but I just thought I'd get some other opinions.) TIA!
