Review Sites....do you use them when you are looking for something? Do you write reviews?

I do use them for info, but ignore posts that are only like 1 line. Typically, those are shills.
I write reviews for a lot of various things. Trip Adviser, Angie's List, Cruise Critic, Yelp, restaurant related sites, you name it. I'm a big believer in sharing both negative and positive reviews.
Fear me! I write extremely detailed posts too. Some years back, I reviewed a local restaurant where we had a fantastic, memorable meal and the owner was so happy with it he put a link to it on his website.

The only thing that I really reviewed one time was the pressure cooker that I bought from Amazon. I was just so amazed by that thing and so pleased with how it worked.
I look at review sites but I don't usually post on them. I do review things on Amazon though. I'm supposed to be scheduling a hearing test but I'm having trouble getting through to the 2 local audiologist's offices (and I worked for one of them!!) so I started looking at reviews online. I did the same when I needed a new primary doctor.
yes, i use review websites when i'm planning to make a purchase. and when i'm looking at items on amazon i'll read reviews there too.
i do post reviews for items i've purchased -- usually just for exceptionally good items, as well as once for a horrible contractor.

I do at times as well. :lol3:
I do when I want to purchase something. Especially bigger things, like the air purifier I just got from amazon back in January. I also write them for things I've purchased.
