Rest in peace, little Yellow Tom-- I'm so sorry (long and rather sad)

I need to add the following: Couldn't Mackie's husband have made a sandwich for himself if he were so hungry? No one is so helpless in the kitchen that he couldn't do that. And while he was at it, he should have made one for her instead of going out to dinner so Yellow Tom wasn't left to die alone. The priorities here are completely wrong for someone who supposedly loves cats.
