Rent-a-center or not ?

Have you ever used a rent-a-center or do you buy the furniture out right ? .I don't use them cause I would hate to have to return it. I know you can return it if you can't afford the payments.

But I believe in buying it out right.

It's a terrible financial decision to pay rental prices for furniture someone intends to keep. If someone needed furniture for a short-term period, it would make sense. But if they want to buy furniture, they should just buy it.

If there's something we want and we don't have the money for it, we save until we do. Sometimes it can take awhile.

I just do without or make the old last until I can afford to buy.  I also buy better quality, not outrageously overpriced, just better quality so it will last.  I just replaced my old couch and matching chair and they were 17 years old.
