Glad you figured it out. Poor fella. I hope he gets better soon.

I don't remember, what kind of food us he eating. If it's dry, I'd switch him to an all wet food diet that's grain free. You may be able to try out some raw food as well once you get him transitioned.

Poor baby! It has got to be just miserable to have crystals. I am glad you and the vet got it figured out and Polo will be feeling better soon.

Here is a link to a site that explains all about feline urinary tract health and what can cause issues like crystals. She thinks adding extra water to the diet to flush out the bladder and urinary tract is key in treating these issues, along with an appropriate diet of canned food only. The site is full of great info from a great cat vet and frequently recommended by TCS members.
