Red Bumps!!!

I got home Friday and realized that my siamese has little red bumps on his ears. I caught him scratching the more noticeable bump in the picture. When I touched his ear I realized it was hot and skmetimes he’ll shake his head. I didn’t see any black stuff inside his ear that can lead me to believe it’s earmites. He is eating well and drinking water.

Our cats had these and they are called chigger bites from chigger bugs better known as harvest mites. Our vet said to just scrap the red things off with fingernail or a small blade like off a scalpel but be very gentle if using a blade. Then get some Adams flea spray and use qtip and put it on the bites and all around the tips of the ears but not inside the ears. It has helped our cats alot doing this.
