Hi all.

Freddie has had an awfully stressful week (and me too).  He was admitted to the vets last Saturday for high temp, not eating and he was also jaundiced.  He's ended up spending the week at a specialist vet hospital.  I don't expect him to come home and be fine, but now he just growls at Belle.

Any suggestions to ease the tension?  They've also had a little fight.

Thanks in advance!

He is on the mend now, thankfully.  Only restriction is not being allowed out in the garden till his anti-biotics are finished.

I posted a similar thread just today cause one of my cats is so angry at the one that went to the vet. What that article doesn't mention is take a sock (I've done this & think it helps), put your hand in it like a puppet, rub the mouth area of one cat, wipe them down all over, make sure you go to the end of the tail, you want to get the scent glands. Then rub that sock all over the other cat. Do the same thing on the other cat & go back to the first cat. Once they have each others smells on them, they'll recognize each other (hopefully). I pretty much do this every time I have to take someone to the vet cause I have one cat that's sensitive I guess & she ends up angry.

Another little trick is take a blanket that they both use & like, rub it all over one & then do it on the other one  vice versa. It's the same concept, to get the same smells on each cat.
