I have been hand rearing from 10 day old kittens now 15 days old, but i found the mother today, i think they been away for more then 10 days. Would her milk dried up , really need a answer to this ????
It shouldn't have ... try to place a kitten with Mom and see if she accepts it. If so, then by all means, place the others with her one at a time and hopefully, she will begin nursing them. Watch carefully when you place the first one though, Mom may not accept it and try to hurt the little one.
One suck on nip but there was no milk coming out does it take awhile to come??? if so how long??? and when i touch the nip there was no milk coming out???
Does the Mom cat allow the little ones to nurse? If so, then they will knead and suckle and pull the milk down. If it was only 10 days, it may take a few moments, but it shouldn't have dried up that quickly. Continue to supplement the babies with milk replacer like you have been until you know Mom is supplying them with nutrients via her milk.
