So I work with cats at an animal shelter and we had a mama come in with a litter of three. The two females are mini-mes of mama, though I think one will end up with a longer coat, but the male...I can't deal with how adorably handsome he is. Since mama is all black I'm wondering if anybody has ideas of what daddy could have been? I can't remember the genetics of coat colors. He's just so obnoxiously cute!

Very cool (and cute)! It’s very rare to see chocolate brown cats outside of Havana Browns.

Oh, he's beautiful. I know that black cats carry chocolate point genes, and some chocolate points get rather dark even outside their points. It may be that this gene has to do with his chocolate color. I wouldn't be shocked if he developed points as he got older, though he may just stay solid brown.

Either way, that's a stunning baby you have there.
