Raised black bump

Hello,

My 14 year old cat has a black raised bump underneath her bottom lip. I am planning on taking her to the vet but am wondering if anyone else has seen anything like it?

Its most likely acne. Usually happens when the food/water bowl is dirty. Bacteria from the bowls cause acne. Wash the bowls. if its plastic, consider switching to ceramic or stainless steel

It looks like it could possibly be an eosinophilic granuloma. I would get your kitty to the vet for a check up.

One form of eosinophilic granuloma is sometimes referred to as a rodent ulcer (nothing to do with rodents). Here is an article about condition, which is very much treatable.
