I would fly b/c you can travel twice as much....
I would drive cause that way it would take longer and I would be away from work for longer

Sorry....you`ve got not much of a vacationer here.
I don`t like to travel very far in anything where I have to sat "sat down" for very long. It drives me nuts to not be able to move around.
A weekend away from my cats would be all I could handle anyhow and I would prefer a "non destination" plan for the "vacation"...just drive an hour or two at tops and then get out and do something...like eat, or go through a quaint store or antique shop, or tour a light house or covered bridge.... then go another hour or 2.
Actually the very BEST vacation Larry and I ever had was a few years ago when ALL of our neighbors were gone for the week of the 4th of July....and we`d go out in the morning (me in my nighty) and have coffee in the gazebo in the front yard....the whole neighborhood was quiet...no dogs, no kids, no music except for the sound of the birds singing!
(Gosh!....guess I am getting old!)
