usually turkey on wheat with lettuce, tomato, green peppers, american cheese and EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA pickles with a little bit of mayo and mustard

It depends on where I am and what place is making it. Back home I could go into any sub shop, order an Italian with no hots and get a really good sandwich. One place would toast the meat and cheese in the pizza oven before putting on the lettuce and vegetables. Those were the best!

Here I learned the hard way that it you don’t ask for “no mayo” you get it on everything. Call me odd but you don’t put mayo on a cheese steak. It’s just not done.

I have one favorite place here in town where I will get either a cheese steak with extra cheese (you can never have too much cheese) or a chicken finger wrap with lettuce, tomato with mayo.
