Chris (my kitty who developed respiratory distress on Friday, and was found to have a pleural effusion and chylous fluid in the chest area) had a pretty good weekend. But he was beginning to work hard again, labored breathing, so I took him back in this morning for another chest tap. We'll have his labs and consult report on his x-rays back later today, hopefully, it will r/o cancer, and then we will proceed with an u/s (hopefully tomorrow) to see what is going on with his heart, and if we could manage it with meds, and if so...what the prognosis would be. He's only 13, his attitude, appetite, and spirit are just rocking great...we don't think it's his time to go, and he doesn't seem to be saying so either.
So...we'll see...I left him with his KirbyStick (a toy he loves) to keep him company during the day, but just want to get him home!
