Do pregnant cats ONLY give birth when their temp is below 100 degrees?

Can they NOT give birth if it is a normal temperature?

How slim are the chances of a cat whose temp. is 100 degrees, giving birth?

thank you all in advance

oh really?? This whole time I've been thinking it DROPPED, well that is at least what I read so yeah.

I've got a kitty that is due anyday(she's a stray we took in from a family friend who couldn't keep her when they realized she was pregnant, we don't know her exact due date) and her temp was 100 degrees on the 13th and on the 14th it had risen.

As a breeder - I personally don't believe in temp taking. No matter what the temp is, the queen will give birth when she's good and ready. Another thing I don't really like about temp taking is that the queen is already in so much discomfort - shoving a thermometer up there would make her even more uncomfortable!
