I'm much more willing to get a separate GPS device than I am to get a smart phone. I have a deep and abiding hatred for the cell phone (first got one when I was being stalked by now ex, once had to call 911 to prevent him from forcing me to get into a car with him to go somewhere "where we could end all this" in his words); after my mother passes away, I will probably get rid of the cell phone (but hopefully that won't be for at least another decade--Mom will be 78 this year).
