I think my favorite sounds are of water, like rain, and the ocean, and swishing water in a bathtub even.

Also super-layered music like My Bloody Valentine or Slowdive. Just gets me good.

Hmmmm I forgot about loons, I have a pair living down on the river by my home and it's the last thing I hear at night and the first thing I hear in the morning. Also the sound of falling snow, it's odd but you don't realize it makes a sound until you actually stop and listen, but it has to be very very quiet...

silence...first and foremost
THEN the interruption of my babies,
trilling, talking, yipping,yowling, and of course PURRING...which apaarently I am become quite good at recreating(according to the people at my animal shelter)
and all other sounds they make roaming around the house, its such a comfort

I love the sounds of rain - especially on the conservatory roof.

I love the sounds of a summer day - birds chirping, lawn mowers moving, kids laughing.

I love cat purrs and those cat meows telling you that they love you.
