What is your favourite way to say you need to use the bathroom?


(Other than the typical proper and polite way of course, especially in a place like a work setting for example)
Nothing particularly creative or special, but...


"Pardon me, have to do some toiletting"
"Oop gotta tinkle"
"I need to facilitate the facilities."
"This area is Exodus-ing as we speak."

I'm going to the bathroom, I'll brb.
Depends who I'm talking to.
When my cats go into the litter, I say they are using the facilities.

At least at home that’s what I say. To anyone else I just keep it simple.

There are 2-3 of us at work at any given time and we know one another pretty well. If it's just us, it's usually "hang on, gotta pee." If I'm with a customer, I hold it, but if someone else is helping the customer I'll just politely excuse myself.
If I'm at a restaurant or something, I'll just say "excuse me, where is the restroom?"
I knew a guy who used to say he had to go drop the kids off at the pool. I had no idea what he meant until someone explained it to me.

The un-ladylike way to ask for the bathroom would be "where's the sh***er?" and I of course find it funny.

what I say depends on the the person that maybe nearby. If it's a guy , I may say "Going to take a dump". If it's a gal, "Need to visit the Facilities".

Usually I just say have to use the restroom unless I'm with close family then I say going to the John.

Kids used to yell no matter where we were that they had to urinate. I mean top of their lungs... "I HAVE TO URINATE, MOM!!!"

Going to the bathroom. I don't usually say restroom.

I've never really thought about it; I just say "I'm going to the loo, I'll be back".

I rarely have to say anything - only time I can think of is if I'm in a waiting room and it's near appointment time. Then I just say to the receptionist "I'm just going to the loo" or some similar variation.

Or sometimes to DH, "As Speck would say, I need to go take a winkle."
