Really good homemade compost.
Now I'm really intrigued. What do you make your compost out of?
The usual stuff.. kitchen scraps (vegetables, fruit, egg shells,), mown grass, leaves, seaweed, weeds that my friend's chooks won't eat, cat hair, tea leaves, coffee grinds, sugar cane mulch, some dolomite.  I have one of those cork-screw things and give it a turn daily so it's well aerated.  When it is ready to use it smells rich and vibrant.. really good dirt!

Yesh!
I love the smell of really good compost!

We have that Mantis composter and we put everything in there. You have to give it a few turns every day and then open the door to check the humidity and the temperature. I open the door and take a deep breath....it truly does smell wonderful.

I like that ozone-type smell right after a good rain.

Oh yes.. That reminds me, the smell of a rainforest is a big one for me.
