Salutations! :sunshine:

So for many of us, it is the summer season - which means swimming! So to stick with the theme....

What do you call your swimming attire?

Notable examples:

Swimsuit
Bathingsuit
Swimmers
Bathers
Swimming/Bathing/Beach Costume
Cossies
Bikini/One Piece/Two Piece
Trunks/Boardshorts
Other

I seem to teeter between the first two, although I do say bathing suit more often methinks. In any case pretty typical, at least where I am from!

Bathing suit, but if I'm describing the type of bathing suit, it's a one or two piece, but I also use the term bikini for a two piece, if it's "more reveling" like a string bikini or where the top essentially looks like a standard underwire bra.

In the water every morning. I wear swim trunks, bathing suit top and a t-shirt over it. And water shoes.

Haha, now that I try to think about it, I don't know which term I use most. I think maybe swimsuit but maybe bathing suit. Probably about equal, depends on the circumstances.

Who says "cossies"? What's that short for?
