I'm red carnation, too.  Don't much like them.  I'd rather have roses or pansies, or sweet peas.  (I just bought some sweet pea seeds to plant along our front fence once the danger of frost is past.  We used to have them along the back porch when I was growing up.)

Margret
Just a word of warning - if the sweetpeas are the annual variety be careful because they will take over your garden if you don't dead head them.

My birth flowers are Calendula or Cosmos. Neither my favorites but I don't hate them. My favorite is the Siberian iris or plain old Shasta daisies.

I'm January so red carnation or white snowdrop. I'll take the snowdrop. Not a big carnation fan. It could be worse though. It could be the geranium. I hate the way those smell. :cringe:
Thank you. My mum always planted geraniums and I complained about the smell to which I was informed that they have no smell. Really!

I like mine. Having a short term memory I've forgotten the flowers but I'm august and liked my flowers. Thank you.
