I moved into the all-female dorm on campus. It was basically a cinderblock prison cell. My roommate was a dairy farm girl who had never had her own bed before. She screamed in her sleep the first few weeks and kept trying to get up at 5am. I convinced her that she didn't need to milk the cows while at school, and we forged an uneasy alliance after I got her into watching Supernatural. It was a real "city slicker" meets "country folk" situation. I was the dominate personality though otherwise I might've gone insane.

Joke's on me now that I've got a cat and 5am has become standard...

It was an apartment when I got married. It was definitely tiny, but we liked that it was in a really good section of a local city, had off-street parking for one car and the bedroom was on the second floor.
