lately i've been enjoying watching some of the 'new this fall' tv shows. i'm also noticing that the trend towards 'reality shows' seems to be passing or has pretty much passed -- YAY!
so let's revisit a previous Question of the Day's topic -- focusing on tv shows of the present, and/or new tv shows.
Are there any 'new this fall' tv shows that you've enjoyed watching? Or any new tv shows that haven't started airing quite yet? (includes tv shows/series that you had not seen previously, like ones that you've recently 'discovered')
How about continuing tv series? (for example, the new season of X-Files)
here's new/new to me ones i've seen or am interested in seeing --

How about continuing tv series? (for example, the new season of X-Files)
here's new/new to me ones i've seen or am interested in seeing --
- Blindspot -- great tv show! action-packed and a story within each episode, but with a very interesting and original underlying 'story' to it. i've been following this show, watching each episode.
- The Librarian -- i loved The Librarian movies, and the tv series is pretty good too. i've just discovered this show (first show aired in 2014), and only have seen one episode so far. i'll be watching more episodes.
- Quantico -- pretty good show, just from seeing the first episode. i really like the 'underlying story' to this show.
- Limitless -- this tv show is based on the 2011 movie/feature. i really think i prefer the tv series basic story line more than i did the movie/feature's story line -- though i thoroughly enjoyed the movie. in the tv series, the main character is (coerced into) using his abilities to help the FBI solve cases. i haven't seen any episodes of this show yet, though i plan to start watching them.
- Minority Report -- i found this tv show sort of interesting, and will probably watch more episodes.
- Rosewood -- i enjoyed this show. i'll continue watching the new episodes as they are available.
- Heroes Reborn -- i absolutely loved the original tv series Heroes, and this show picks up from where the original series left off and has new characters as well as some 'returning' from the original series. i do enjoy fantasy/science fiction tv shows, but i can be very picky about them -- which ones i really enjoy watching. so i'm kind of surprised that i've enjoyed and continue to enjoy watching the series.
- The Player -- i'm very interested in seeing this new tv show. i think it's available now on hulu, but i haven't watched any episodes yet.
- Wicked City -- i haven't seen this show yet, but i really like the idea behind the series. the show is set in a 'different noteworthy era of L.A. history' for each episode, and the format is True Detective style. i plan to watch this series.
- Indian Summers -- this is a Masterpiece series on PBS. it isn't a murder mystery, but an attempted murder mystery where the story slowly unravels. the series is set in early 1930's in India, which is very interesting to me. i've been following this show, and watching each episode.
- Home Fires -- also a Masterpiece series on PBS. this series is set in England, on the verge of WW1. the story centers on the women of a particular village in England, their struggles and triumphs and their work on the 'homefront' prior to and leading up to WW1. i've been following this series, and will continue the series through the end of it.
- Vet School -- this is a 'reality tv' type show that i actually am enjoying watching. it's about students in the Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine, and the episodes center on particular students and the (animal) patients they're treating (under the supervision of residents).
- Bones
- Castle
- iZombie
- Dr. Pol
- Orphan Black
- Sleepy Hollow
- Supernatural
- and i'll be watching the new season of The X-Files, starting in January
