Today's question is kind of strange, but it was something we were talking about at work last week. Are there any everyday tasks that you have trouble with simply because you can't wrap your mind around it?
For example, a girl I went to school with had a hard time telling time on an ordinary clock (the kind with hour hand and minute hand). She was a straight A student and on the honor roll, but she had a mind block when it came to which one was the minute hand and which one was the hour hand. She kept thinking that minutes are shorter than hours so the short one should be the minute hand. And we grew up with those kind of clocks..not digital!
Me, I have a hard time telling my right from my left. When I give directions to someone, I actually have to act it out to get it right. I'm mainly right handed but I do somethings better with my left hand so maybe that is where the confusion comes in. I don't know.
How about you? Is there anything you have a mind block about?
