I'm not a person who goes to the beach much. It's the ocean. When I drive to the gym, I come over a hill, and there's the ocean.

I need to find my wet suit (the Pacific here is pretty darn cold), and go in the water after sunrise.

When the water starts to heat up, we get the red tide--and that's just gross.

I don't go in the sun. So many people around here have so much sun damage.

The snow is nice sometimes. I miss the silence.

Walking out at night during a snowfall, it's so silent.

Although the thing is, I'm not sure if the snow was okay because I was younger. Now, I'm not sure if I could deal with it--the cold literally causes me pain.
yes, snow kind of insulates things, sounds. i live in a rural area where sounds 'carry', but when it's snowing it's extra quiet...peaceful here. i love the look of snow, and i don't mind snow shoveling/removal either, but i can no longer handle feeling cold.
