The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule. That scared the crap out of me, especially in a "how well do you really know someone kind of way." She was friends with Ted Bundy for years, and had no idea he was a serial killer. And she was a crime writer! Eep.

I mean, I'm pretty much a wuss, and don't knowingly read or watch something that I think might scare me. But I guess that particular book made such an impression on me because it really happened. Suffice it to say, I still sleep with the lights on when I have to spend the night by myself. ;)

Not really a scary movie, but a thriller.

Silence of the Lambs.

Still haunts me till today.

Both the book and 1960s movie version of The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson have always creeped me out.

Oh yes. That was one of the first scary movies I saw in a theater with friends. We were having pizza afterwards
at a place near the theater and we ran, ha!!
