I've never tried Scott Toilet Paper, since it's only one ply. Is it any good?

I never thought about it but Yes it is one ply. I've been using it for 60 years, unscented, no perfume, white only and safe for septic systems.
Single ply vs. multi-ply is only a preference. As long as it's thick and strong enough to do the job for which it is intended the number of plies has little to do with physical quality.
If you like the texture of two ply better...sure!
I'm with D DeesCats . I'm more concerned with whether the stuff breaks down in the environment after it's been used.
The only brand I'm loyal to is Crest. I only buy Crest toothpaste and will never buy a different brand, even if there is one that is cheaper.
