Yeah, all the time when I was a kid. And we took alot of car trips, so it was Dramamine for me! As I got older I figured a few things out - sitting in the back seat isn't good, looking out the side windows instead of straight ahead is also not good. I get it if I'm in a car and in the back seat and the car is starting and stopping, and I never read.
Hasn't happened to me on a boat. I took some ferries when I was in Scotland, going to a couple of islands, and had no problem. I made sure I was outside in the fresh air, and also that I had some food in my stomach.
