I got both of them last year. Not particularly painful, and no reactions. And no flu.

They're giving them sometime next week at work, free, and I'll get one then. I'm getting to the age that people die of the flu.

Here... or There... Hmmm
No I do not... I hate shots already and when I went in for my annual this year, I was still haveing SOOOO much problems with my back that I didn't even WANT them to poke me and make me feel like crap before I got my back injections... so it was a WAY NO GO this year!

I had a horrible reaction to the Hepatitis B vaccine earlier in the year when they vaccinated my classmates and I before we headed off to our clinical sites at the hospitals. I wound up getting very ill from it and having nasty allergic reaction. When I went to the doctor they had to give me steroid injections & other things to help with the reaction. While I was there, I asked about getting the flu shot at the time and she said that even though I was "high risk" (my heart issues, asthma, and a tendancy to get bronchitis/pneumonia), she wouldn't recommend it since I had such a bad reaction to the other shot and the flu vaccine is constantly being changed around with each year. Thankfully, I didn't get the flu last year and I didn't get the flu shot.

I'm not planning on getting the shot this year eithor- I'm currently dealing with an ungodly amount of complications from my recent heart surgery as well as C.Diff and getting over bronchitis- the last thing I want is an allergic reaction to an unncessary shot! I'm just trying to be very vigilient about cleaning and hand washing.

In the past I've had several flu shots and each time, I always have a reaction to them. I'd rather not put myself through the risk of an adverse reaction right now unless my specialists decide it's in my best interest.
