I really like the look of terracotta - it never "steals the show," and your blooms look fabulous against that background.

Spring arrived in an hail of crocus here today (I know that just dumping boxes of bulbs into two inches of new topsoil really isn't gardening, but since there was ground ivy to transplant, what the heck...):


There are daffodil noses poking up everywhere throughout the woods, which probably means that there's a snowstorm somewhere close by, waiting to squelch Spring like a big white hammer, but for now, at least, it's dreams of Summer.

Where do you people get your energy?  Other than foundation plantings, everything here is more or less "naturalised."  A Friend describes it as, "Mother Nature trying to overrun the lawn, held back with a weed-whacker."
