Good morning.

:hellocomputer:

I was reading an article on people who lived to be over 100 years old the other day. All the old people had some good advice on how to live a long and happy life. (They all seem to have smoked and drank a little, but they all kept as active as they could too.)

The best piece of advice was from a lady who was 103. She said the thing that kept her happy was thinking about the little things she was grateful for. Every night before she fell asleep she thought about what was the nicest thing that had happened to her that day. I thought that was a really good idea. End each day on a high note!

The best thing that happened to me yesterday was that I finished work early enough to go for a run. Going for a run is the highlight of pretty much any day, but I don't always have time to go before it gets dark. Yesterday I ran and I felt just wonderful afterwards.

:cloud9:

How about you? What has been the highlight of your day so far?

We are settled in the hotel and the cats are being good!! last time they cried and cried. this time I made sure to make them each a little nest with a soft fleece blanket and they like them a lot. no crying..... yet. I picked up some turkey breast from the grocery store last night and they just had a bit as a treat for being so good. let's hope it lasts.. :vibes: :crossfingers:

While shopping today I ran into a teacher I worked with 10 yrs. ago. We had so much to talk about that it was wonderful catching up - definitely the highlight of my day.

...with the cats...
it's really early in the day right now, about 4:35am here.

i think so far the highlight has been that i don't have a lot of extra things to do today. if i find the time to read for a while today, that will become my highlight of the day.

So far the highlight of my day has been hearing that my sister, who has been recovering from chemo, is feeling better.

After church we stopped at a local grocery store to pick up the T-bones they had on sale. When I came out of the store, a man was in the parking lot outside. I don't remember much about him except he was a large man, with a red dress shirt and tie on. He started singing. His voice was deep and booming. He just kept singing, "The Lord is blessing me right now, right now. The Lord is blessing me today." He could be heard all over the parking lot and people we stopping to listen to him. It was wonderful.
