A simple question today, maybe more for the lady of the house than a man.

Do you use a tablecloth or place mats on your kitchen/dining room table.

I use both, I recently covered my kitchen table with a tablecloth with a non stain treatment and any liquid just bubbles up and wipes off and is machine washable. I use mats just to be more safe cuz I do get food on the table a lot, wiping off the mats is easier to do. When I have guests I do take the mats off.

Almost exclusively placemats. The ones in the diningroom are reversible from a small flowered pattern with a navy border to plain navy. I use the flowered side most of the time, but when I use the good china, I flip to the navy. We're quite casual, so there's little occasion for the formality of a table cloth.

Rigel these are place mats for your table, the mats are under the dishes.

A tablecloth is one piece that covers the whole table, hope this helps.

My kitchen table is merely a horizontal surface to collect stuff on. I don't use tablecloths or placemats when I actually eat at the table. I do use a placemat on the floor for the cats dishes though.

I always have a table cloth on the table. I use place mats on top of the tablecloth.

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
My kitchen tables have both become cat zones. The one that is actually in the kitchen is Hercules special table to lay in and sleep and the one that we seldomly eat at is a catch-all and GiGis table. But I dont use a table cloth or place mats though at some point Ive got a hankering to make my own place mats to match the color scheme we have going on in the living room.

Same here- and no tablecloths, just place mats when I'm eating and then I put it away, most of the time when I'm eating, Jake is sleeping right next to my plate, or observing me.

This is a question for Bella. She eats on my dining room table. She has her own cat placemat with her name on it. I eat in the living room while watching tv

No placemats and no tablecloth on my table. We rarely ever eat there. I have been thinking about buying some placemats though.

I have tablecloths for special occasions when people are coming over - those are put on late, though, because my cats are allowed on the table. If a table cloth was up there too long it would be covered in fur. Of course when the table is in use, the cats are made to stay down.

Same here, I do have placemats and tablecloths and use them if we have people over for dinner and I have cleared off the table
