I'm the one with the toolbox and drill, so I do the small stuff and we call the professionals for everything else.
Hubby is very handy, and will do just about anything except electrical work himself.
DH isn't handy, and he knows it. That sometimes doesn't stop him from trying sometimes. Usually we hire someone, though.
Funny that this is question today, I just repaired our toilet. Very minor repair, but I will try to do small things myself, DH is pretty handy, but when we re-do kitchen we will hire a contractor.
i usually get family member's to do it! am lucky because, my dad's quite handy with most repair type job's!
