I have been battling on/off depression since I was very young, but I think the things that cheer me up is having to talk to my family back home and see my dogs.

I also find music, gardening and bushwalks very therapeutic. I agree that connecting with nature can be really calming. There's also nothing better than a cuddle from a cat, if they're in the mood.
