Hi guys! :wave3:

Almost forgot...it's been a very busy day.

Is there any flavor or kind of cake that you do NOT like? Any cake that you simply refuse to eat?

I'm not real snooty when it comes to cake. But I won't eat cheesecake or fruitcake, not crazy about banana cake either. Other than that....bring it!
Rick refuses to eat coconut cake.

What about you?

Pineapple upside down cake
Hummingbird cake
Coconut cake

Basically anything with pineapple or coconut.

Not sure about black forest cake either, because I really only like fresh cherries, so up in the air

I'm not a fan of cheesecake or fruitcake either. I also don't like vanilla cake, it's too plain or red velvet cake, the icing is loaded with fat and sugar.

Cake isn't usually my first choice of dessert; but I can't immediately think of one I won't eat either. Most grocery store ones with the whipped icing just aren't worth the calories.

Fruitcake seems more bread-like to me but I'm not a fan of that.

I am the same way. Cake isn't my preference but I haven't had any that I can say I dislike and won't eat. I don't know of any cake that has anise in it but I do not like anise. If there is a cake or frosting with anise in it, I wouldn't eat it. I know it is used in cookies and candy but I hadn't heard of it in cake.

Generally, I am not a fan of store cakes. If ind them too sweet. I do not care the frosting, or plain white/vanilla cake.

I grew up with a mother who was such a cook/baker. Always something for dessert, snacks.

My favorite cake of her's was a homemade German Chocolate Cake with Coconut Pecan Frosting.

A ton of work, but oh, so good.
I used to make it.. Have not done so, in about 30 years.

The only cake I really dislike is fruitcake but honestly it’s wrong to call it a cake. It is a (yucky) thing of its own. And I have no clue why I can only type in bold right now.
