Doesn't every home have one.

We actually have about 3 of them.I cleaned 2 of them out the other night, and threw away a bunch of junk.

I have several junk draws and a huge junk cupboard under the stairs

Last time they were emptied?! Lets say several months and leave it at that

I have a main junk drawer, which is mostly paperwork stuff..I think the old cable bill was the last thing to go in there, & i haven't cleaned it in quite awhile. To go thru it & file it all would take up most of an evening, & since it's junk, it's not important enough to waste that kind of time on it..yet!

My other odds & ends I keep here & there put away in baskets or containers, depending on what room they are usually used in.

My junk drawer seems to have a life of it's own, I swear I put things in there and they will never be found again. I think the last time I cleaned it out was about a year ago and I am pretty sure the last thing I put in there was batteries.

Well I don't consider a drawer of Menus a junk drawer or a drawer of papers.
Right now Mom's house has many junk drawers.

I do have some misc. papers like receipts in my dresser. I try to keep everything organized. We do have a lot of papers in my desk drawer ready for shredding.
