Question about Signatures

You guys have made me some beautiful signatures but when I post them to a hosting site, such as flckr, it doubles the file size. Is there something that I'm doing wrong in the saving of the file?

EDIT: I figured out a solution- I think!

The best way to do it is to upload by URL so it it is not resaving twice or use photobucket which only adds 2-5kbs (which is why I make mine around 25kb just in case)
