Do maine coons get treated different than other cats? Should they not be around other animals, like cats, and people aswell?
I'm not quite sure I understand your question, but I will try to answer. Maine Coons are very friendly loving cats. They generally love people and other animals too. They are also very intelligent and need a lot of mental stimulation.Originally Posted by DinoDee

A full-grown female typically weighs between 9-12 pounds and males tend to be in the 13 to 18 pound range. 25 pounds is possible, but certainly is not the norm.Originally Posted by Shanynne

Maine Coons always keep their "Kittenish" personalities. They love to play! They also love attention and are very affectionate and love to keep you company.
They are also much bigger than most cats and take between 3 to 5 years to reach their full growth. Twenty to twenty-five pounds. The females get even bigger than the males.
Does this help?
Wow thanks for that information. I'm rather shocked because my male is 20 lbs and he is only 2 and 1/2 years old and still growing, and he's not overweight,Originally Posted by Kai Bengals

This information can be found on the CFA and TICA breed profile for Maine Coons.
