My queen gave birth to 3 kittens 2 days ago. Two are fine kinda small but they are eating when u goes to feed them. Unfortunately, one kitten passed away last night due to it being born with its stomach on the outside.
My question is can mum sense that the kitten has died? She keeps leaving the other two kittens and laying back where she gave birth to the kitten that died. She does go back to the kittens when they cry for her.

Seems normal.
Be sure these smallish kittens are warm and get enough growth raise.
Weigh them every day.

Good. As said weigh them.
You have thin margins as they are smallish you say.

Hiya everyone I've just gone to check on mum and babies and she has moved one kitten and left the other in the nesting box. What could be the reason for this and should I be worried?

Can you weigh the kittens daily?

She may be abandoning one. You will know more if you can weigh and tell if it’s thriving.

Can you keep mom 100% inside and away from intact males?

Quick update mum and kittens are doing really good. Mum is eating all her food now and going straight back after a cuddle to feed the kits. Still haven't checked the sex of the kits yet jus letting mum do her job. I will post a pic.

Hello everyone woke up today and the little kitten doesn't seem to be feeding properly. I have gotten formula and bottle set and some syringes.
Should I move mum before trying to bottle feed the one kitten or should I leave her with me

Unfortunately the little kit didn't make it through the night so the vet cremated him for us. Mum is ok and the last kit she had is doing great gaining weight everyday. I was told this sometimes happens on a first litter on a younger cat so we got her fixed and our male cat aswell

Little kit is doing great he's up to almost 300g . Mum is doing great feeding him on time every day. Then she takes about a 15min break n let's him sleep, after she eats she always goes back to him.
