A few weeks ago, my senior cat stopped eating. After appetite enhancers, I was able to get him to eat some Friskies and Whiskas, but not his normal foods. I then discovered that he loves the Fancy Feast flavors that come in gravy or sauce. Since he was borderline for hepatic lipidosis, I have been feeding him anything he'll eat, which means lots of Fancy Feast.
Since his appetite has recovered, I would like to switch him back to a higher quality (no by-products, no wheat) food. Since he seems to love the gravy, I think that a wet food with some sort of sauce would be the easiest to get him to eat. I have already tried giving him the Nutro pouches, and he looked at me like I was bonkers. Does anyone have suggestions of a good wet food with a similar consistency to the Fancy Feast?
