WE had a 19 year old cat, the last year of Ms Kittys life she was hissing when I gently picked her up
and she also lost control a few times of her bowells..
She also became very thirsty...and also I began to see discomfort in her eyes
I took her , had her put down and brought her home in a pillow case
and we buried her..I would never have left her there..
I would have gone in with her but I did that with our dog and I am so tenderhearted
that I can not bear to go in and hold the animal and talk to it again..
I had one of the vet assistants go in with her..
I waited outside in the waiting room..
It hurts..and does for weeks, but you are right to not wait and see her suffer more....
in my opinion..you have been good to her and she most likely has had a good life with you..
She knows you love her..Just say some sweet words to her before you have someone take her
in ..and then bring her home to bury her if you can..
