Hey all, so when my cat was last in heat, I told my kids and partner not to let her out, but with the extreme weather, they let her out so now we have a very pregnant cat, I was just looking for your lots opinions if these sound like signs of pre-labor and how long you think we have?
* obsessive grooming
* looking for a nest
* white/dry/crusty looking nipples
* only eats 1 or 2 mouthfuls of food at a time
*unsettled (won't lay in one place too long)

I've also made her a nest upstairs and downstairs so she could choose from them

It does sound like she is close! Do you recall when her last heat cycle occurred? Cat pregnancy runs 63-68 days on average. Do keep us posted!

So she was let out twice but I think she was 'caught' around the 24th June, so we would be coming up to the end of week 8 I think. But it also could have been a couple of days before that

Thank you, its frustrating as I want to be as prepared as possible, and I don't her to have to go it alone if I miss the signs
